Tedson Motors reimagines the Lamborghini Gallardo with the Etna restomod, featuring a lightweight carbon fiber body, enhanced performance, and exclusive design.
Tedson Motors Etna: A Modern Twist on the Iconic Lamborghini Gallardo
Tedson Motors, a forward-thinking company based in Zagreb, Croatia, is giving the Lamborghini Gallardo a stunning makeover with their groundbreaking “Etna” restomod. Known for their expertise in transforming classic Porsche 911s into hybrid-enhanced road machines, Tedson Motors now turns its attention to reimagining one of Sant’Agata’s most beloved supercars, the V-10 Gallardo.
Breathing New Life into the Gallardo
The Tedson Motors Etna is not just a simple restoration; it’s a complete reinvention of the Lamborghini Gallardo. By introducing a lightweight carbon fiber body, the Etna sheds an impressive 225 kilograms, enhancing its agility and performance. Powered by a 592 bhp 5.0L V-10 engine, paired with a six-speed manual transmission and race-inspired suspension, the Etna delivers a driving experience like no other. With only 77 units slated for production and a price tag of around INR 6.6 crore, this exclusive masterpiece is the ultimate addition for Gallardo fans seeking power, style, and rarity.
A Lighter, More Dynamic Gallardo
Named after the iconic Italian volcano, the Tedson Motors Etna is the first restomod of its kind to feature the Lamborghini Gallardo. While it may seem early to “remaster” a car that was last sold in 2013, Tedson Motors founder Goran Turkic explains that the original Gallardo holds a special place in automotive history. Its naturally aspirated V-10, hydraulic steering, and manual gearbox are features nearly extinct in today’s digital-era supercars. “Our goal with the Etna was clear: to make it lighter, stronger, and more responsive, while preserving its analog charm,” Turkic explains.
The carbon fiber body not only reduces the car’s weight by over 450 pounds but also gives it a more aggressive stance. The redesigned front end features fewer vents, with new side intakes and a refined rear sporting a ducktail spoiler, new lights, and titanium exhausts.
Performance and Exclusivity Redefined
While the Etna modernizes the Gallardo, it goes much further by making it faster, stronger, and more engaging to drive. With a redline of 10,000 rpm, an additional 60 horsepower, and a switch to a gated manual transmission for the paddle-shift models, the Etna truly stands out.
On top of the performance upgrades, the Etna also boasts custom bodywork, bespoke wheels, and a luxurious interior rework. Though the full details of the cabin upgrades—like custom carbon fiber seats—are yet to be revealed, the anticipation for the grand unveiling next year continues to grow.
Tedson Motors will produce just 77 Etnas, including a limited edition of nine launch models. Each build takes 12 months, demanding significant investment beyond the original Gallardo’s cost. For those with the means to indulge in a refreshed classic, the main production of the Etna will begin in the fall of 2026.
